In reply to your letter of the 13th, instant

and previous correspondence respecting the construction of

a depot for the storage of Petroleum in bulk at North

Point I am directed by His Excellency the Governor to in-

form you subject to the approval of the Secretary of

State and in the event of the Military Authorities raising

no objections to the sale or the sites referred to or to the

construction of such a depôt and other works in connection

therewith, His Excellency as is at present advised sees no

objection to permitting the storage of petroleum in

bulk in that locality subject to such rules and regulations

may be from time to time meae in respect thereo1

nor to putting up to sale at public auction the sites re

ferrea to subject to the following conditions.

(a) Term of lease 999 years.

(b) Premium 15 cents per sq.ft.

(c) Annual Crown Rent $350 per acre.

(d) That a sum of $100,000 be expended within a

period of two years from the date of sale on

permanent improvements and the erection of

buildings.

(e) Usual covenants.
